July's Trainer Tip focuses
on Excel PivotTables. If you're looking for a way to
summarize, manipulate and organize your data, this is the way
to go. PivotTables allow you to turn rows of data into great
summary reports. With the drag of a mouse and a few clicks,
you can summarize your information by sales, region, customer, or
any other field you've included in your spreadsheet. Having
alot of data is great but being able to better analyze it is
awesome!

Sharing the Wonder of PivotTables!
The PivotTable is a
powerful tool for summarizing, analyzing, exploring and presenting
data, extracted from larger amounts of data elsewhere in your
workbook. It enables you to query the data in user-friendly ways,
subtotal and aggregate numeric data, summarize data by categories
and subcategories, and create custom calculations and formulas. You
can expand and collapse levels of data to focus your results, and
drill down to details from the summary data for areas of interest
to you. You can also move rows to columns or columns to rows (or
"pivot") to see different summaries of the source data.
